     Description & Highlights

    This is a 6-day slow paced tour. We have put this tour together for those who don't like to be rushed and would love to see the Grand Denali National Park in depth. We would like you to enjoy the magnificent Great Mountain McKinley and Denali National Park without rushing you around. This would be great for pre- or post-cruise tour where you will have an opportunity to see the interior of Alaska. You will have plenty of time to explore the famous Denali National Park with a tour that takes you into the heart of the park. Enjoy the views of Mt. McKinley - the tallest peak in North America, and endless Alaskan wildlife. Experience the Alaska Railroad, where the scenery is truly stunning from the dome rail car. Visit the Iditarod Headquarters and learn about the Iditarod Sled Dog Race - the greatest race of character and endurance. You will also have a chance to explore the largest city in Alaska Anchorage with a tour of the city and its endless shopping and flowers. On the last day (or first day if post-cruise), those that need to be transferred to/from the cruise ship will have an opportunity to visit Alaska Native Heritage Center, Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, Portage Glacier, and Alyeska Resort as time permits.

Anchorage Highlights and Alaska Native Heritage Center - See the highlights of this metropolis in the middle of the wilderness, visit the Native Heritage Center to discover the rich culture of the local people.

Portage Glacier, Wildlife Conservation Center, Alyeska Resort - see all Alaska's wildlife at one place - Wildlife Conservation Center, they have bear, moose, caribou, elk, bison, musk ox, and more. Visit the Portage Glacier with its informative visitor center, and the Alyeska Resort where you will take a tram up the mountain and have lunch enjoying the breathtaking view of glaciers, mountains, and Turnagain Arm.

Talkeetna - you will love this little town with its Alaskan charm. On a sunny day this actually is the best spot to view the magnificent mountain McKinley, there you can also find unique Alaskan gifts and crafts.

Alaska Railroad - offers the best views in a luxury dome rail car. This ride will have some amazing scenery, so just sit back and enjoy.

Denali National Park and Mt. Mckinley - this park offers everything you came to Alaska to see: unlimited wildlife views, magnificent mountains, pristine beauty of untouched Alaskan Interior. Learn about Alaskan animals from expert naturalists, explore the unspoiled tundra and forest, see amazing views of the “Great One” – Denali, and the wildlife in their natural environment.
